Need Highly Skilled Programmer

Looking for a business partner and programmer. My concept received alot of interest at latest VC conference. Lost my original programmer due to illness. The software will be created for any business with an inventory system. the commercial potential is in the billions. You will need to sign a non disclosure agreement and if selected a background check by the VC's

Can you state the program language that will be required?

Also if the software has such potential isn't it odd for just 1 programmer to be behind the whole design?
(Not trying to be negative, but for a big project a team is usually better)

Understood. However, only one programmer is needed for beta design.

I can suck my own dick, does it count as "other skills"? But yeah seriously, I assume that you're going to pay the programmer well because a professional at that level is not going to work for free even if your idea is potentially worth billions... Even if the idea is only worth millions you're going to make your money back multiple times ;)

And by the way, what is the share? I assume you're going to pay at least 50% for the programmer because he does all the hard work.

Exactly. I bet the OP is looking for a freebie.

There's many many many horror stories out there about someone promising equity in exchange for work. AFAIK it has never worked.

Also OP will have to pay ton of money who will have these skills.
 
I know a highly skilled programmer that would probably happy to work with you. His consulting fee is 100/hr. Let me know if you're interested, and I'll forward his contact info.
 
I have been an entrepreneur for a while and I understand most of you have not owned a business, who are programmers and wait to work for someone else, who don't create your own business would feel I am looking for something free. Starting a business is easy, running a business is, financing the business, growing the business is hard. It is worth while to me because that is what I love. Partnering with someone means some shared responsibility, financial and otherwise. My last partner was just like all of you sounding off. He thought he did all the work when I was the one who came up with the concept, made all the contacts, and got start up money. You know what I was fine with because he did what he loves which is programming and I did what I am good at ( ideas for products, networking and finding money). If some of you are pissed because you've been suckered before well join the club. However, I'm not going go out like that:)
 
I understand mate, your not interested in building a business. Your desire is to get paid to program and that's it. I'm not a hater, everybody different. I looking for someone who want's to partner and build business and earn mutual benefit. If your not that guy, that's ok :)

Is that supposed to be a fucking joke? I told you the previous projects did not go ahead. I invested a lot more time and energy in those projects than you did. If you put as much energy into the projects as you do being a dickhead you would be a lot more successful.

You are correct and I apologise. Your last project was actually both commercially viable and original. Unfortunately the part that was commercially viable was not original, and the part that was original was not commercially viable.
I would no doubt find your ideas more 'cutting edge' and original if I had traveled forward in time from the 1950's but as it stands, your ideas for technology based projects that have already been put into application by other people several years before you thought of them fail to generate the enthusiasm they possibly deserve. Having said that though, if I had traveled forward in time, my time machine would probably put your peer to peer networking technology to shame as not only would it have commercial viability, but also an awesome logo and accompanying pie charts.
Regardless, I have, as requested, attached a logo that represents not only the peer to peer networking project you are currently working on, but working with you in general.

Wow, you guys are really JADED. Damn, I know there's a lot of a**holes out there but you guys have been hard on my thread. However, it has taught me something. I was looking for a marriage of skills but all people want these days is to hit it and quit it:batman: Bump this thread..... I am lookig in the wrong place.

I dont mean to be a prick but i cant stand when people make threads like this "Need highly skilled...." "my idea is worth billions" So im supposed to invest a ton of time in something that might not pay off? Pay up! lol
 
Dude, just like many others I have been duped by programmers who say they can do something but can't. The reference to being highly skilled has no correlation to my idea. Some of you guys are just as much an arrogant a**hole as people with money. I don't promise anything. Anybody who knows anything about building a business knows it's all about luck, skill and network. Yes, I am looking for someone who is highly skilled because I strive for excellence in all that I do and I want someone who has the same belief. But what do you care.

But still you fail to see the problem... You want a programmer with years of experience and lots of talent but we know nothing about you, your previous projects or your skills! We need to know something about you and what qualifies you to claim that your idea is worth billions? I assume that you have multiple successful projects from the past so why don't you show us at least one of them?

I still think that you're a lame noob who got a really "exciting idea" and wanted to get the best programmers in your team by exaggerating everything. Why don't you post your CV so we can see that you're the real deal?

You've failed to even mention yet what equity the developer will get. How about we start hitting you with some questions, and we'll see where that goes, as we know very little about you so far;

-> Which VC's have you talked to; who have they backed before?
-> What is your idea, broadly; why is it qualified to potentially make $ billions?
-> What experience do you have in running start-ups; have you had any successful mergers or acquisitions in the past?

I'm going to take a wild guess and call no on the last one, as no successful start-up head that I know would look for developers a second time around on an online forum that's barely, barely, barely, dedicated to development.
