I am trying to use a custom slider on a woo theme, "Bold News". I have tried entering it on the bottom of the index.php file, but it just completely messes up my site. I am trying to figure out where I should enter the snippet of PHP to make the featured content slider work on top.

Note... This is a separate slider from the one that comes with the theme. I turned the slider off, but maybe this is what is causing the problem?

Thank you in advance for your help!

I have tried multiple different content sliders, all require you to insert a snippet of PHP into my Bold news woo theme. I have followed the instructions on their websites but it just wont work for me. I must be doing something wrong. Anyone out there with knowledge on the subject that could help me?

I have used this WP plugin on a couple sites. Probably not what you need, but thought I would put it out there....

Exec-PHP - Executes <?php ?> code in your posts, pages and text widgets

would that plug in allow me to take a full post and turn it into a snippet? I hired a WP admin off of Odesk to make initial changes to a site but I hate having to go there everytime I want to make a simple tweak. Right now on home page I have two full posts and three snipppets, I'd like to make the 2nd full post a snippet.
Ideas? I saw a tutorial where I believe it showed how to do that but I am afrait touch any of those php files. Do I change them right on WP or go into FTP? any advice would be great!!
