Need Help

Hi I run a website, Magento based online store, 5 years old domain, 13k product listed with 50%+ unique content

We did changed the design of the site in January this year and after that, our web site ranking dropped continually

I don't know anymore what we are doing wrong?

Is there someone that would check our site and let me know if there is something that we need to change urgently?

E-Commerce sites are somewhat "dangerous" due to the structure itself... a lot of similar content, tons of pages and - at the end - they look very duplicated from a SE's perspective.

I am in the very same problem, mate, even if I run my custom PHP (Zend) script to populate the store.

I am trying minimizing the number of pages indexed, by limiting the crawling (rel=nofollow) only to top categories and using the rel=canonical tag on products pages. I am not quite sure of the results, I will let you know.

What did you change exactly ? . Only a few design elements or the entire template structure , url's, meta tags, H tags. and so on..

Complete frontend design with new menu structure
URL's, meta tags, description's are still the same

Actualy we did change the homepage Title as well.

you can try changing the home page title back to the way it was, and wait for sometime and see it improves, if not try with another template, or best resume to the older version and see how it goes.
