Need help wth iphone 3g

Have never used Iphone before.. Started using iphone 3g , it worked perfect but got some problem and needed to restore. All my apps are gone. Now trying to install the apps again and all apps require iOS 4.3 but the max update is 4.21.. Cant install any of the apps (instagram,viber, whatsapp) Without apps this phone is useless..

Can anyone help me ?

What error does it show?
you can update to ios 6 for free. connect to itune

call their support and they will push update to your imei. i just updated 3GS 2 days ago.

iPhone 3G can update until iOS 4.2.1 the only way is to jailbrake it and download older versions of apps that you want from sites like apptrackr (is closed now)

can anyone give me something similar to apptrackr ?

also how can activate the phone without the original sim ?

You can do the jailbreak at re-add the basic software then you can update the phone as normal, a quick google search will help, i used youtube as a guide as well

Google it
Its easy
Jail Break with Downloaded IOS file
there are many Tutorials at Youtube..

guys even jailbreaked the phone cant install the apps cause they require new version of iOS.

the maximum is 4.2.1 , the hardware does not supper higher version of iOS.

im trying to unlock the phone with ultrasn0w but i cant.. can you tell me any other software for unlocking it?
