NEED HELP: Wordpress website on a subdomain for Chinese company

Dear Blackhatworld members,

As a wordpress website builder I am hired to make a website for a Chinese company. This Chinese company already has a Chinese website made with Html en CSS on the main domain (example aa.edu.cn)
I want to make a Wordpress website on the subdomain (example english.aa.edu.cn). I have some questions about the transfer and it would be great if someone can give me some advice! :)

If you were up to this assignment, how would you do it?
When I make a Wordpress website, is it possible to put it on the subdomain? Yes? How?
Or is it possible/smarter to first put the website on Wordpress and then working on it?

I know newbie questions, just starting this business, so every help is very appreciated!

Because if I can't put it on the subdomain I will put it on a new domain. But prefer subdomain

When you install WP
Just mention the domain/sub-domain from the drop-down menu
on which you wanna install wp.
Rest are all same process as like addon domain.

Jeezus why not do some research before taking on work, it's people like who give the industry a bad name. You either know what you are doing or you don't.

Being a western site or eastern site it's all the same.

I cook on a gas stove, and use hot water does not mean I can install a boiler.

Doesn't matter that the main domain is not Wordpress made website?

I know, it is just some extra information that is unnecessary. Just to let you know, before I took the assignment I explained that it is possible that the website will be put on a new domain. And the pay is based on the final quality. And the payout is like $5 a hour. So don't worry about "giving the industry a bad name".
 
you'd need to create/host a subdomain first from hosting panel - then install whatever you want.

No man, charging $5 an hour, don't know how to do a basic wordpress install and the basic understandings of a website structure. No, you are a shining beacon.

It doesn't matter. When you create a sub-domain it gets its own directory. That's have nothing to do with your addon domain.
Just make sure your hosting provider support wordpress. lol
 
People need to chill everyone has a learning curve. I remember when I was stuck on the same and it took me hours to figure it out so if this guy has come to a forum where some people are happy to assist than spend hours than all hes doing is being time efficient...everything online is learned.

You need to tell us what hosting you use or something so we can guide you. Like the guy above said all you have to do is literally add the subdomain and place files under it as you normally would but some hosting companies you sometimes can use subdomains unless you pay extra like godaddy of you are using the basic wordpress hosting
