Hi, I'm pretty new to these forums, and I was trying to use Yahoo! Answers to get some traffic to my affiliate link. Yes, I did get a new URL to redirect, so Y!A doesn't know it's an affiliate link. The issue is that nobody is clicking the link! I have had absolutely no visitors. Also, I checked Google, and I can't even find find my question page.

Please help!

here is a link to my Y!A page: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ApZFl1Ggb6zChQUjoQ.3xJzsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20091129204457AAXxd63

(I hope this isn't seen as spamming, because I really just need help!)

thanks!

How many posts have you done on yahoo answers? Is you answer selected as best answer? The quality of answer matters...

The URL couldn't be displayed any longer so I'm assuming it's been deleted.

Anyway, you want to try and make your questions/answers seem as real and natural as possible. If someone suspects spam then it will be reported as such and you will get no clicks.

Also if you're using a URL shortener, try to use one that's not overused. People are smart enough now to quickly catch on to spam posts.

You'll receive lots of visitors from Y!A if you manage to rank your question in Google. I sugest to use long tail keywords.

yes, long tail keywords is the key for success with YA

Keep trying, keep testing. Change it up until you figure out what's gonna work.

personally, when it comes to a question like that i would stay away from the whole LEGAL subject almost anybody is going to know that unless your sending them to xbox.com to download games it's not legal. This pretty much yells SPAM
