I have questions regarding a few WordPress security plugins:

BulletProof Security
Better WP Security

I'm new to these 2 above plugins and need some advice.

I'm currently using...

WordPress Firewall 2
SecureWordPress
WP Security Scan
Limited Login Attempts

...all as my security plugins for my WordPress site.

I haven't looked at a few of them in a long time and realize couple of them haven't been updated in awhile, and so I need to look for new security plugins. I'm going to remove WordPress Firewall 2 having been updated over 2 years.

I'm confused by all the options available so I like to know can I use...

BulletProof Security
Better WP Security
SecureWordPress
WP Security Scan
Limited Login Attempts

...all activated at same time, or they will conflict?

Or if there is one I don't need from the list because of another having that feature...or only just one that does all the protections that will best case.

Thanks you for any help.

in my opinion Limited Login Attempts is enough .

but first change you admin name to different username

I use a combination of Wordfence and Better WP security for all my clients, and it works great and covers everything.

I have written an article on this. Go through it if it appeals you :)

Read it here

You only need one of them. You can add extra security with htaccess. I guess Limited Login Attempts / Login LockDown should work alone.

Thanks for all suggestins. The problem is there are so many options to go that it's overwhelming to choose.

Some plugins offer additional feature that others don't have but have other features the other one doesn't.

So it's a difficult decision to go.

I'm trying to figure the best combination route out of all 7 plugins to choose the selected few to limited the amount of plugins on my site and at the same time get the maximum security from all the features these plugins have to offer.

one of my websites got hacked and i was using BulletProof Security

i had a backup so i re installed everything, now i have just wordfence what u think? its enought?

Wordfence is enough, covers the most, really good.

BulletProof Security was bypassed it was just deface, the 1st thing i thought was about bulletproof

anyone having a issue like this with it?
