You want to find a theme that says that it works with these ecommerce plugins.
Those kind of themes are made for online store and do not have a blog as the the homepage.

woocommerce is good to use. the extensions are pricey though. there are some free ones that are useful. so go to your dashboard and look for plugins on the left side and you can type in woocommerce and download the plugin into your theme. they also have documentation when you download it to help you out.
