Need help with wording an email for links?

Hi Everyone,

I currently have a client and we are wanting to attract links from high authority domains to help him increase his domain authority as well as help inner pages etc etc etc. He currently has stock what he would like to give to charities as a donation and would like them to link back to their site when he has made the donation.

I have compiled a list of domains in the local area what have high authority and high page rank blogs / domains.

Now my question is how to i word such an email that we are asking for a link from them? any ideas?
I can't really say look we will give you a large amount of free stuff if you link to us and if you dont want to link to us we will not make the large donation.

Anybody ever written or done something like this before?
How do i word such an email?

If you give us a backlink, we will donate $1,000 to your charity. Please find out who does your website work, and coordinate with them to have the following backlink placed prominently somewhere on your Home Page.

We prefer above the fold, and a 12 pt. Verdana font in Bright Green. Once the backlink has been placed, please then send us an email containing a link to the backlink and also the email address of the person responsible for processing donations and your preferred method of payment, and after we verify that the link is correctly placed we will then send you our donation of $1,000.
