Hi guys, I just sold a website, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to move on with the transfer... It's my first time!
I hope someone can help me out :-)

Should I push the domain to the buyers Namecheap account first, or do I have to provide the website files first and then push the domain?
In whice order?*

The second thing is: should I allow the buyer access to my cpanel so he can download the website files or should I do it myself and send him the files? And if I send him the files in a zip, what's the best way to send someone such a big file?
What's the standard procedure?

Sorry for being such a pain in the a$$ in my first thread ever ^

Did you receive the payment? If yes, you can start push the domain. Regarding CPANEL, if this is the only site hosted there, you can give him access to copy the database and website files. Otherwise, just create a full backup of the website and give him the download link.

Yes, I received payment via Escrow. Okay so I should first push the domain? I have other websites within my cpanel, so I guess I will have to compress all the website files in a zip and give the buyer the download link. Thank you for your response!

First export database to your local machine and upload it on the server folder. Than can give ftp access for that particular folder to the user and ask him to download the files on his own.
Or you can compress the files let it be on server and provide that zip file link to your buyer.
