On what are you setting up your VPS ? You have a dedi or you just want to run it local ?

If its local i suggest you use hyper-vm since its free and you have plenty of tutorials to go around, if you have a dedi than install solusvm, its also quite straight forward/easy to menage with ready templates and it also works on centos 6*.. You have a 15 day trial with it also to test around.

You need a Windows VPS for hitleap (afaik). You will be given the vps username, password and IP by company. Go to start menu, put "Remote desktop" in search and open it. Put IP and username and connect. When asked for password type it in. You will be logged in.

Typically in these situations I tend to find YouTube as a great reference.
