Glad to hear your doing some KW research. Thats about hte only thing on a $0 budget you can do for yourself that will allow you to compete.

Youre gunna have to be smarter than the rest in the niche you select because if theyre spending $$$ you dont have - youre kinda tooled or ya gotta wait for them to get sloppy and get slapped by google and take over their open slots.

GAWD - please tell me you are NOT in niches like - payday / insurance / weight loss / seo / make money online - LOL

For the record - googles last several and future algo updates are all designed to slay the spirit of folks like you. Better get after growin a thick skin and be resilient or dont bother playing with google. They hate you [ and me especially ] ... they want you and I and 90% of the people on this forum to give up on SEO.

well, I have good news and bad news then..

1. My site is based on my youtube channel, so I will be getting natural backlinks from each youtube video, and natural traffic from youtube over time.
2. I will in summer, due to a friend, get ownership of a multitude of facebook pages which have a total of 100 000 Real Likes and 50 000 Real "talking about this" directly related to my sites niche. All the pages are active.
3. I will be paying an SEO guy 80$ a month using a 20% discount for SEO packages
4. I will be doing my own SEO posting on various forums
5. I will get friends from youtube and forums to try and "link share" and help advertise my network
6. I may join a network (non partnership), to get some royalty free music etc to my network and work with other youtube channels and websites.

On-Page and Social Media SEO:
My site will be designed to be very very SEO friendly and contain unique content on each page, long content with videos that I have recorded from youtube and containing my keywords.

I will be posting on around 10 facebook pages, 1 twitter account 5messages a day. 2 of these messages will link to a video, or an article I have written. The messages will be 100 characters or so long, they will post at 5hour intervals.
I will be posting 1 Article 400-700words containing my keyword 3-5times naturally in it on my website.
I will be targetting keywords with the lowest amount of competition (finding them using LongTailPro), and over 1000visits monthly.
I will be posting 1 video per day at least to youtube.
I will not be spending time "following" people, or "adding" people on facebook/twitter though, don't have enough time.
I will not be spending time creating too many blogs, as I have more important things to do on the site, like recording content!

Are these things gonna help me allot?
Do you guys think I have a real shot? I will try either way... I am aiming at working like this for 1 full year before getting around 5k visitors per day. Do you think that is realistic?

I just don't have the money, and this site may be my future, not as in my main source of income, but as in I love the gym and I am hoping to do something out of it (as a hobby).
