Hey guys, I hope this is in the right section...

I recently got scrapebox, I love it so far, first tool I bought to put in my blackhat toolbox :D

(next is either ms or mnf (still debating the two)

    anyway...

Question about the scrapebox comment poster. I have around 10 proxies from yourprivateproxy service listed in my engines and proxies window, with the use proxies checked.

I'm trying to post comments to my own blog (testing out scrapebox, etc) and every time scrapebox connects to post a comment, my real ip is showing up, instead of one of the proxies.... does scrapebox not use proxies for comment posting... ? :\ or am i simply doing it wrong ?

    You're doing it wrong.

    ScrapeBox most definitely uses proxies.

PM me a screenshot of the main sbox window and I'll take a look at it if you want.

Have you made sure you have the "Use Proxies" box checked? I overlooked that a couple of times when I first started using it.

Good question, Pat, but yeah - I took a look at a screenshot zerok sent me - Use Proxies is checked.

I'm still trying to work through why it's sending the real IP thru. If you or anyone else have any guesses please feel free to chime in.

    Well I contacted support@scrapebox,

They said to clear my cache, etc, or it might be the proxies that are passing through my normal ip.

Well I cleared my cache, same results (not 100% sure why my browsers cache would cause my normal ip to show up when using a 3rd party program..)

Verified my proxy was working via plugging it into lan settings and checking ipchicken.

Retried scrapebox commenter, and my normal ip still shows up on getclickys connection list....

Can anyone else test this to see if they're having the same issue ? I'm using yourprivateproxy, so if they're proxies are not masking the ips... then need to find someone else.

well I'll give it to scrapebox support, they're response time when it comes to support is phenomenal.

Scrapebox seems to be using the proxies correctly, and yourprivateproxy seems to be masking my ip... so what the heck gives getclicky the ability to see my normal ip.....

    any ideas ?
