I am trying to use kw rich domain for seo!

lets way my client is a lawer in nyc and his current domain is eddihaskillaw.com

I want to use newyorklawer.com as the domain. So I create the new site and create a redirect in eddihaskillaw.com to point to the newyorklaywer.com.

Is this best way to do it? What are pros and cons?

Would you code the redirect instead?

    Thank you!

I use the htaccess for redirects and I've always had good success. The current rankings of the sites will switch places. Meaning the site you are redirecting too will go around the same ranking that the first site had and the first site will fall off now.
