need help with nft

New to NFT. I was told by my aunt that I can draw and sell your artwork. I haven't drawn in a while. I rather just pay a artist on fiver and sell the artwork. Question is they say I need a digital wallet. I don't have one. Does that mean I have to buy bitcoin or those digital currency to get started? I know nothing about digital currency too.

Hi mate. Yeah, you'd need to buy crypto, mainly ethereum (get Metamask). Then you have to pay gas fee to mint your nft.

You can put your nfts for sale on platforms like fiver upwork

You can get a metamask wallet and get ethereum cryptocurrency. You would need to pay gas fees when minting your nft
You can try to sell your nft on opensea, or looksrare platforms

Another alternative is getting a phantom wallet , get solana and list your nft on magic eden.

Before listing your nft I recommend promoting it, and getting your story out there, what's the concept about your art.
Just listing it on a market place isn't enough.

Before even looking into the shady world of NFTs, learn the basics of cryptocurrency. It's an absolute minefield, littered with scams, rug pulls and outright fraudulent "investment" schemes.

agreed, it’s not just “making an nft” and getting rich OP.

If you don't have the cash to get started with Ethereum-based NFT platforms, you can try Solana.

It tends to be cheaper.

There are NFT minting applications on that crypto platform that can help you.

The key to getting some traction with your NFT project is some sort of advanced publicity.

So, maybe put up a blog or you can even try DeviantArt.

The key is to get some sort of initial recognition for your art before you sell it through an NFT platform.

Regardless, there is money to be made in NFTs, but the market is currently soft right now.

This is actually a golden opportunity for those who are focused on quality instead of quantity.

Seeing how 99.99999999999999% of NFTs go unsold it might be a better idea to ask your aunt for another "get rich quick" scheme that might actually make at least a few dollars instead of just having you waste time and money.

You need to install Metamask, it contains a browser, navigate to opensea.io click the menu and go to GaslessMarketPlace ( free nft ) , click start upload your image give it a name and attributes. List it
- I suggest to draw the asset by yourself it's more original

There is opensea, have you ever tried it, but it charges gas, it was working with ETH

Yup, and still 99.99999999999% of collections do $0
Most of those numbers are people getting scammed thinking those monkey and silly images hold any real value and the others are laundering money, don't pretend NFTs as they are right now are worth anything.
The technology is good and will hopefully be used for something meaningful down the line, but literally the only people defending paying millions for stupid drawings are people scamming others into buying them.

I agree a large number of collections didn't sell a single nft, around 15k collections did , also many collections are often the same groups creating them.
There is also one on one nft art, nfts are also used for events , it's been lucrative for quite a few ppl.

in comparison there are more youtuubers that never earned a dime is YouTube a scam, there are more creators on ig that never earned one cent is being a content creator on ig a scam, more musicians that never earned on Spotify is being a musician a scam is Spotify a scam, more actors that never got hired is acting a scam ?
Onlyfans models that get naked and never earned enough to have a withdrawal, is onlyfans a scam? Is adult modeling a scam?

Being a scam and not making money are not related
While its true that many platforms only the 1% make money, at least the ones making money are providing a service or creating a value that is directly related to the price being paid
But don't try to BS saying a random person that paid off someone from fiverr to make some shitty drawings will earn anything from this.
How is paying $5 for a drawing and then adding it to the blockchain suddenly making this worth 100x? Most people are not stupid and won't fall for this, only a few that thing they can resell this crap and thus the scam cycle continues.

Imo adult content, music , digital art, acting , singing . Are all art forms
If someone is able to sell his auto tuned songs to 16 year old girls like drake and 99% of current popstars for example
Or someone is selling art from a up and coming freelance artist on fiverr as an nft , I congratulate them on their marketing skills
Is it 100% ethical ? Idk I'm not God to judge them.
Imo it's not unethical , bayc paid a freelancer zeneca to draw the apes, but all their nftholders earned half a million ( some earned 100 million )
I find it had to see a scam in outsourcing the artwork of avatar based ecosystem.

Based on their marketing skills I would say they are good at marketing , and for the tons of scams on nfts , they are millions of scammers in every Industry
Most scams online happen on IG actually.
I got scammed by the government many times , ppl get scammed by expensive UNIVERSITIES, they get sold the dream of getting a good job if they pay a fortune for Stanford or Harvard or whatever flashy marketing university .
So my opinion nfts is not so bad as you make it sound , but everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I agree to disagree ! Lol
