Hi everyone. I was curious as to what everyone's recommendations were in terms of frequency when it comes to posting.

I'm sure it varies by niche. Mine is in humor/comedy and I usually post 3-4 times/day on average, but have noticed that most of the bigger accounts in my niche post 10+/day.
In addition, some tips on improving engagement would also be a huge help.

Any and suggestions and feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Side note: looking to join engagement groups as well.

There are generally two camps when it comes to posting:
  • Low Frequency: This is 1-2 uploads per day (or even every other day).
  • High Frequency: This is 4-10 uploads per day.

The Low Frequency group swears by their strategy because it:
  • Doesn't appear spammy.
  • Usually makes it easier to maintain a high quality page, target a particular time zone and/or keep a consistent upload schedule.
  • Gets a higher engagement per post, since the followers' attention is only on 1-2 uploads.

The High Frequency group swears by their strategy because it:
  • Increases the chances of their content being seen by hopefully posting when someone's online.
  • Usually makes it easier to grow a page and/or cover multiple time zones of online activity.
  • Gets higher overall engagement, even though the likes/comments per post might be low.

So, it honestly depends on which group has the merits you want.

I appreciate the response. It's a lot clearer once it's broken down in that way. I'll consider your points and experiment with frequency.

I post like 20 times a day on my 40k account, I've noticed posting a lot helps me grow much faster as I've gained these 40k followers in 1.5 months.

Surely there's more to your growth than just posting 20 times a day. What else were you doing?

All I have done is make my profile attractive and be sure to use the maximum amount of hashtags that are related to my page. At first I did not grow as much but over time, when reaching 10k, I've grown with atleast a few hundred followers a day.
