When you purchase guest posts, they ask for an anchor text and url to your site.

I'm curious what anchor texts I should be using and what type of articles I should be linking to?

Say for example, I have a website on lawn mowers or traveling in the USA.

Is it a good idea to link to your money posts with affiliate links or should I be using info posts instead?

What sort of Anchor text is appropriate?

best lawn mowers for under 500 bucks, the name of my website, or how to clean a lawn mower?

You will want to link to both types of pages. But let's focus on the one with affiliate links, "best lawn mowers for under 500 bucks". I would not use the Title of the article as an anchor, instead do some keyword research around the title. You will probably find keywords like "best budget lawn mower 2020", "good but cheap lawn mowers" , "best cheap gas lawn mower" and so on. Use these anchors to help you rank for additional longtail keywords and push up the longtails mentioned in your content.

Can you link back to that same article multiple times using variations of the main keywords or should you only do that once?

You should only use the exact same anchor once. Variations are fine like "best cheap gas lawn mower" and "best cheap lawn mower". But don't over do it. Keep it as varied as much as you can.

Alright gotcha.

Thanks!
