Need help with Facebook ad

Hi, Im currently in the process of promoting a teespring fitness shirt and as FB is apparently necessary to make this work, I'm looking to create a FB ad for it. I'm wondering, would the process look something like this? Make a FB page on the fitness niche, make it look nice, post a link to the teespring shirt, promote that link from the page through FB ads?
If so, I'm thinking targeting people with interest in fitness obviously, but should I target anything else? Also for the location, should I only be targeting USA, Canada, UK, and Australia or?

Buy a ad research tool and see what others are doing in that niche.

Firstly Facebook Ads have some restriction at fitness niche so you have to be very careful when you are creating a Facebook page relate on this. Why dont you create a tshirt related page instead of fitness? I think you should research more on this niche to work on Facebook.

I think this wouldn't be a bad idea. Would there be any restrictions regarding a t-shirt page?

too bad precise interest targeting doesn't exist anymore on FB, otherwise you could get super granular with pages people have liked
