    Hi all,

I have my 2nd appointment with a client tomorrow and I need some help in closing the deal. I am doing Online Reputation Management, so I need some stuff that will really hit home for this person. They run a hotel, and I want them to feel that they need my service.

Basically I just need some help with a real life appointment, I have not done many and know that I can do better. Any tips? Rep and thanks will be given!!!

In my opinion you just should say how important it is to have a good reputation show them how fast a potential customer can be scared off. Also show some type of loss they will have if they dont care.

In the end it's always about losing money or winning money and you will need to show it to them.

Make a simple graphic which helps to visualize it. Programs like Visio should make this a simple task.

Also show them some bad cases, if they have any.

First, be classy clothes speaking (it is obvious)

Try to think their way and not yours, skip the technical aspects unless you feel like you need to explain what you do.

Smile, inspire confidence, make him feel he is lucky to speak with you (not beein obnoxious ofc)

Try to write down a few ideas of your speach, you won't use it but it will be a base for you to start with.

I don't know how it goes the first meeting but here is what you are supposed to do.

    1) QUick Introduction of your product and its benefits
    2) Discovery of your customer phasis. Ask questions and try to foresee where your customer is more likely going to say no.
    3) Sell your thing according to phase 2, answer to all questions and take the time to make him agree on your arguments
    4) Close the deal

If the customers says no, you failed phase 3 but it is not bad, just note how he refused in a piece of paper, and then try to find a sentence which will unlock the denial. ;)

[EDIT] I assume you are talking to the decision maker ...

Thanks abysse +repped! This is good advice!

Yes I am talking to the decision maker directly, which is good!
I think I am just phasing myself out a bit. Charisma is important though, so I will make sure to work on that.

Any and all advice is appreciated!!

    1. Prepare yourself for all questions the client may ask.
    2. Avoid being too much descriptive so that you don't miss the important convincing points.
    3. Make an offer that is lowest possible to get the deal.
    4. Show some proofs of how clients were benefiting from online reputation management plans and services in general.
