I just built an useful App for iOS and android and want to market it so people will start using it.

It is completely free download and use.

Any idea where to get started?

Is facebook marketing effective?

Thanks!

Search "ASO" or "App Store Optimization" on Google; you will get lots of idea.

Besides; include Keywords on your App Description as much as possible (naturally; ofcourse).

Thanks Shamimnasir!

I wonder if anyone on BHW offer this service?

Have you launched your app already?

If not yet - great
If yes - good

App marketing should start from pre-launch to post-launch. And there is no "app marketing strategy for all". And be careful with burst installs, this might give you 10000 of new users but it they will lose gradually in matter of weeks or months.

So you need a personalized app marketing plan, what is the niche of your app?

You just need to take care of things in the following order and your app will be a success:
1.App Title
2.App Keywords
3.Screenshot and Icon Optimisation
4.Send 300 installs per day from Facebook for 2 weeks
5.Send 10 Reviews per day for 2 weeks

Now this is a guaranteed formula :)

App reviews would help you out, and if you need those feel free to contact me, mine stick, and 100% money guaranteed.

I don't think that facebook marketing will be more useful for apps. You can target through the content marketing strategies and implement those experience to implement mobile marketing.

Hi dude!
Facebook is effective but you have to add EDU back links for best results.
You can create back links on blogs for more effective results.

Ive recently read an article about "How to market your mobile app through programmatic RTB media buying"

The simplest way to buy mobile ads programmatically is through advertising networks such as Google Display Network, Facebook Ads, or any demand-side platforms (DSP).

Here are the steps to get started with programmatic media buying for mobile advertising:

Understand your app
Know and identify your target audience
Design your creatives
Select a self-serve demand-side platform (DSP)
Launch your mobile ad campaigns
Optimize your mobile ad campaign based on the initial results

Hope this will help

I agree with using Facebook. The targeting can be very precise if you understand exactly who you customer is. The only downside is that its a very competitive bidding marketplace and getting installs can be pricey (but targeted) depending on the targeted market segment.
