Need help with an adult website

Hello guys, recently I wanted to start my own adult tube website and I have couple questions regarding that topic.

If I just embed videos to my website do I still need a server rather than just web hosting? Because I heard on the forums that the adult traffic can be very huge and that web hosting can be too slow , so the server is the better option. Does that apply to websites who just embed other websites videos?

If I was going to use web hosting I was thinking about using HostGator, do you have any recommendations for something else?

With web hosting I meant service, not hosting videos for my website...

Don't host the videos yourself, just link to them, especially because you don't any of the videos you will be posting.

I assume you didn't get my question right: If I was to just embed videos on my website will web hosting be okay to maintain traffic at good speed or do I need a server.

It's depend how many traffic you will have. You can upgrade to server anytime but start with hosting and get traffic. Video embedding doesn't matter here

Right, thats why most people choose embedding because you use very minimal space. Once you start gaining traffic, you'll need to think about upgrading anyway.

A decent host (even shared) will suffice with what you are planning. Once you see your traffic increase over time, that' is when you should think about upgrading.

Exactly what everyone is saying. You are only embedding the videos so it takes up very little space in that regard. I have over 100k visitors per month to my embedded tube and my hosting is like $20+ per month
