A few years ago I got my ad account on my real profile banned because of dumb stuff. I can't fix that.

Now I just started a new legit business. A brick and mortar food business and I need to run ads. I have a fanpage and ig account, both on my personal profile, and I want to run boosted posts from both those accounts (CTA is to messaging), and grow those accounts as well. I need to keep those assets safe, so that i don't lose them.

Low budget, so agencies can't help me. I am also told that I can't use the same credit card as before as it will be flagged.

What is the best way to get going? I kind of at a loss here.

Cheers.

The safest way is to appeal or clear the old restriction if possible, then run ads only through fully compliant assets tied to your real business details (page, domain, address, tax info). Start small with clean creatives, use a legitimate payment method in your business name, and scale slowly to rebuild trust.

The best approach is to do everything completely legally. You should create a new BM, verify your business, use a valid payment method under your business name, and process transactions gradually. Don't rush into spending and avoid anything that seems like policy evasion.

Common causes include:
Violation of advertising policies
Unusual activity (IP address, payment, login)
Sensitive content (crypto, finance, gambling, health, etc.)

The safest approach is to resolve any previous restrictions if possible by submitting an appeal or clarification. After that, run ads only with fully compliant assets that are clearly connected to your real business information, such as your Page, domain, and billing details. Begin with a small budget, use clean and policy-compliant creatives, rely on a legitimate payment method under your business name, and scale gradually to rebuild trust over time.

In this case, the most important thing is not to rush into expanding.
When a personal account has experienced problems before, the restart should focus on consistency and stable signal.

By using a payment card that matches the country of your advertising account, you will no longer encounter this problem.

The most reliable approach is to operate fully within the rules. Set up a new Business Manager, complete business verification, use a legitimate payment method registered to your business, and increase activity gradually. Taking things step by step and avoiding anything that could be seen as policy circumvention helps ensure long-term stability.

The safest path is to advertise only as a real local business: verify your Page, use accurate business details, compliant creatives, and start with very small boosted posts. Use a legitimate payment method tied to the business (not workarounds) and scale slowly to rebuild trust and protect your assets.

You should log in using a clean proxy; this helps prevent your Facebook account from being locked due to illegal activity.

If the reason is that your product violates policies, any type of account can be locked.

First: accept one hard truth (important)

If your personal ad account was banned years ago, you should assume:

  • ❌ That personal profile will never regain ad privileges
  • ❌ Any ad account directly owned by that profile is unsafe
  • ⚠️ Boosting directly from that profile is risky long-term

Don't worry, just follow Facebook's policies correctly. Verifying BM and accounts is the first thing you need to do. In addition, run low-budget advertising campaigns and scale gradually. Avoid violating words in Creatives.

The safest approach is to avoid reusing a profile that has previously encountered problems.
Set up a new, properly formatted profile and Business, add a Page and Instagram account, use a new payment method, and start advertising compliant content. Slow down and build trust before scaling.

I would suggest setting up a fresh account in Business Manager

Personal Ads accounts tied directly to your profile are quite vulnerable. Switch to a proper Business Manager (BM) set up.

- Meta allow up to 2 Business Managers per person. Create a new one if you haven't maxed out.
- In the new BM: Add a fresh page, Pixel, and ad Account. Use a clean payment method (new card / business banking) and different device/ip initially.
- Seperate assets: Keep pixels in one "master" BM, pages/ad accounts in "satellite" once for protection.

This is fully legitimate and how professional agencies operate to minimize risks.

Your problem is very simple: just find a new payment card to run ads.

for me, you should completely separate it from your old advertising history. create a new bm, add pages and instagram to it, verify your business if possible, and run ads from the bm instead of directly from your personal profile. use a legitimate payment method belonging to the business and start with low budget

Meta always has risky algorithms; you can set everything up on a secure proxy, or automatically change to a new payment card.

I'm not sure if you can create a new credit card, but if you can, things will be easier
If not, add PayPal and fund your account through PayPal to increase your credibility with Facebook
