Need help with a file sharing website

I'm new to this forum. I mean, I've been reading a lot from it and learned a lot. And I'd like to thank all of you.
I am not used to writing forum posts, so I'm sorry if I mess up something.
Let's begin. I've made a file sharing site, with users in mind, but money too (I cared about the users more). It's an unlimited free file sharing website, with ads on the download pages.
The problem here is, I didn't earn anything from it. I've done all the coding, advertised it a bit on Skype and Twitter, but now I need your help. There are only 50 users registered on it, from which only half are active. I'm not earning much, $0.09 a month.
And the question is: how can I advertise better, free or under $50, and get some active users on it?

Successful file sharing sites usually offer some sort of incentive or affiliate program for sharing content. Your site is only worth money if there are things that people want to download on it, so i'd say upload some warez and use a poster to spam your links around the internet. Google: wjunction , it's a good community for stuff like this.

Maybe you should try with adwords? But to be honest I don't think you can compete with the big sites unless you have a really unique and user friendly design.
