Are you a shoe collector (as stated in your post) or a shoe broker? One would imply that I will never get my money back - at least not for a very long time - while the other implies I'll get my money back contingent on your ability to sell the shoe.

Regardless, we don't know that you're actually using the money to buy a profitable shoe.
