Need help... What would you do with 40k cad?

Hi everyone, I know I will get spammed with a bunch of stuff here, but if there are some legit individuals to help me I would appreciate it and maybe we could partner up

I need some help, if anyone can give me some advice it would be great

Alright, so I had a business for the last 6 years, changes in law have made it for me illegal to operate in Canada, which is okay, my business partner and I stopped it. The website was making approx 60k a month by the end so I am no stranger to making a product and marketing it.

We stopped a year ago and I have been stuck in this huge ass rut and am starting to feel depressed about it. I feel without direction...

I decided to set aside 40k to start a new online business but god, I find it hard to decide what to do.... and how to use this money wisely...

I am good at website building, I am good at internet marketing (i was in charge of the marketing of the previous business adventure and sales basically happened due to my marketing only), I have many online skills and also am not afraid to ask for help if something is above my knowledge and get it solved.

My question is, if you had 40k / cad what would you do? Is 40k today a reasonable amount of start up capital for an online venture? 6 years ago, it was plenty, today, I do not know...

I thought of cloning one of those Wordpress theme/ plugin websites and marketing it on FB, it could make some money as it is worldwide and with prices just right for the global market I think people would buy. I am also willing to share profits if you have skills that help us reach a new business idea that makes sense and works.

I can't recommend what to start, maybe something AI related with Wordpress included, maybe some cool plugin.

Whatever you choose, start with a small money, just be sure that there is demand before you start pouring the money.

@the_tesseract if you're are open to a JV, may you should post in the Joint Venture section of the forum. Plenty of ideas to milk from, and partner up.

The website that was making you 60k a month is the same as the offline business in CA?
or something else?
If it's different, why not scale or mirror that success?

Hey there! No I had one website that was making 60k a month, but the products sold became illegal to sell in Canada so we had to shutdown at the request of authorities and if I mirror it, I will be prosecuted by the law. The niche I was in requires an insane amount of trust that I had built up during the years.

The mirroring could be sped up by using my email list which had an insane conversion rate, but clearly the agent investigating us is on that email list so reactivating it could prove to be fatal.

The link between me and that business would be too easy to make as I was the largest one in Canada. To mirror it would be to defy them, and potentially could be worth it but prison does not sound enticing at the moment or ever.

wouldn't make sense to put yourself in that situation.
Won't ask you what products they were either, but that would mean, you could possibly have experience in selling, marketing & dropshipping? Wouldn't it be possible to mirror that but with a legal product this time?

Exactly what I would like to do, except dropshipping is not something I would venture into but actually creating a product that I can ship and control but as stated above, I am just stuck in a rut and everything that I research seems to hit a wall, but I do believe that my "walls" are actually just my self doubt...

well i dont live in Canada, so i can't tell you what the product is.
That would require some polling and research on your end.
Understand what the community or country needs and wants.
You may have to also experiment Aswell with it.
