Need help to start Dropshipping

Hello, I am about to start this dropshipping but I need some advice.
Should I :
1) Buy a membership on Shopify?
2) Use Ebay or Amazon to do dropshipping?
3) make my own ecommerce site?

The third one will be expensive for me in the beginning. So should I go with shopify or ebay/amazon?
I mean I will eventually build by own ecommerce site once I see some success on this. Which will attract customers more, shopify or ebay/amazon? Heard shopify is the best for dropshipping? Why do people say that? Is dropshipping not good and proper when done through amazon/ebay?

Yes, I know that prices, products, proper marketing techniqueswill fetch me more customers but still shopify or ebay/amazon?

And paid ads, keywords, a bit SEO, and marketing on almost every social media will help me grow right? And plus if I use paid ads, I will get a small revenue through ads right? No idea about these, hence asking like these.
I will be hiring a professional from this forum for these things because I dont wanna screw it up doing by myself.

Also, suppose I list something in ebay/amazon for example say a 100 USD product , and a guy buys that , so will amazon/ebay will pay the money to me immediately to my account or they will pay me after the buyer gets the product? I was thinking that after ebay/amazon pays me , I will use that money to buy the product for that buyer and dropship him. Can you dropshippers please clarify this for me?

I'd use Shopify, as then you can also sync to eBay with something like inkFrog. You can do both venues easily. The reason for having your own site is adding value and taking away the ability to sort by price then buy from a competitor.

Marketing, sure. Use ads and social. I would NOT place ads on your website though as you'll lose customers and the money won't be enough. If you want to make money with ads, don't drop ship.

You will not be paid immediately. You MUST have a way to float the orders, you'll need a credit card or something. PayPal and such pays 21 days or 3 days after confirmed delivery. Even the fastest processors will take a few days to hit your bank account. I know... I know... every tutorial says you can use the money from the sale, that's just not the case when you start. If you've been using PayPal for a while they'll move to "instant" (as in it shows up in PayPal but still takes a few days to transfer out) but right now you can't do that.

Oh so I wont get the amount in my paypal until the product reaches the buyer?
And approx how much do I need to start dropshipping via shopify ?

And yes people hates ads haha and making a good 4-5 figure per month is not possible from ads. Right?

Yeah you won't be paid before it reaches the buyer. For how much money depends on how much you sell, I'd probably recommend at least floating the orders on a credit card with a few grand available. You should be able to pay it off within the grace period so you don't get interest charges.

4-5 figures a month from ads, sure it's possible. But you wouldn't be drop shipping, you'd most likely have a blog or a file sharing website or a video tube (video tubes are hard though).

I am also looking for ideas on making a site and earn through ads. Just couldnt find the perfect category tbh.

You clearly haven't done your research number 3 and 1 are the same. Shopify let's you create your own ecommerce store. Then you ask which will attract more customers shopify or eBay. Shopify won't attract any visitors. Visitors don't just magically appear on your store. Shopify let's you create an ecommerce store, but without doing any seo, influencers, or ads or other things, you won't get an traffic.

So shopify is just a platform to create an ecommerce store.

But eBay, you get free traffic from the visitors on eBay that are searching for they product. Big difference.

If you don't know what shopify is, you've clearly not done any research and are jumping into this without any knowledge.


Also paid ads can be very difficult. Don't expect to run $5 a day ads and be getting sales. Maybe you'll get lucky from time to time but most of the time you will be losing money.

I spent $500 on ads before I found a profitable campaign, but alot of people spend thousands.


Dont expect ads to be easy, otherwise everybody would be doing it and be a millionaire. It takes time, skill, lots of money, learning to, trial and error, and more.

Be careful when hiring a "professional" off of bhw. A lot of people won't know what they are doing. And why would they do this service for you instead of doing it for themselves and making 10X that. Well I can think of 1 reason, use your money to test the products, once it's profitable, they might ditch you and run it themselves and make all the money, or they don't know what they are doing and will just profit from running ads for you since they can't do it themselves.

The person above said that you won't get the money until the product is recieved by the buyer. They is completly false. Be careful when taking advice from others, sometimes people don't know what there are talking about but still give advice. Always research and make sure what they are saying is correct. I think paypal takes a few days to payout. Other credit card processors will take different times depending where you are living. For me it's 7 days for shopify payments/stripe.

PayPal though will sometimes place a 21 day hold where they don't pay you out for 21 days. Also they might limit you and hold your money for 6 months. Also sometimes they might just put a hold on a percentage of the money. They might hold 10% for 3 months

Why wouldn't you be doing dropshipping to earn 4-5 figures a month . Last week I was doing 3k+ revenue a day and 1k profit a day. So why wouldn't he be "dropshipping" to make 4-5 figures a day. Ecommerce and dropshipping is probably one of the easier ways to scale up to 4-6 figures per day,not month

And what was your 1st profit for the month when you first started dropshipping ? And when did you actually start?

And should I order a custom dropship store from alidropship or use shopify? Had a talk with a member @alidropship. They are offering a custom dropship store for 299 USD.

No you cant see my store.
Idk what my 1st profitable month was, but it wasn't much. I've been doing this for 6 months.

I suggest you save the money and spend it on marketing instead.

And maybe you find a niche that is approved to be profitable and do have no work to do by yourself. No one is going to show you something that is profitable.

I don't want to sound harsh but you know shit about dropshipping. Did you ever do any research about the topic? I'm not interested to get into dropshipping myself but only by reading a few threads about it (@Lunaaa 's included) I feel like I know much more than you.

Change your mindset and get away from that spoonfeeding approach or you're better off giving your money to a charity than investing into dropshipping.

Unless it is a good friend you can trust you shouldn't share to other marketeers for the simple reason that they could steal your niche and spy on how he is doing his ads etc.

I would rather you not steal my profitable products that cost me hundreds in testing. Lol you wont order anything on my store, as its on aliexpress for 10X cheaper. Im using shopify btw

Oh alright but didnt have any intention to steal your niche but yeah I would have done the same if I was in your shoe.
But I would like to know one thing that why would people buy from your store if the same thing is available on aliexpress for 10x cheaper as you said? I am a bit confused.

Everyone on BHW makes these methods to earn $$$ sound easy because they want to sell YOU something. I've been on BHW for 4 years tried several methods and done nothing but LOST money.

Expect to lose a lot of money with ads. Ecommerce is not easy and there's a BIG learning curve. Have Atleast 1k set aside if you want to do fb ads
