Need help regarding mobile site

I have a simple php website (not a wordpress blog) offering free e-book downloads. I am planning to make app using AppsGeyser (by providing website URL). I have two noob questions:

1. How can I convert it to responsive mobile/tablet friendly site?

2. What are the most profitable ways of making money from it?
