Yolo,
My best advice would be to read all that you can. Read, Read, and Read some more. When you think you have read enough, read some more! I would recommend first just focusing on trying to make some cash threw adsense with a micro niche site. It is probably the simplest way to start. Doing so you will build a solid grasp on the concepts of building a webpress site, you will learn the basics of SEO(onpage and offpage), and its a great way to learn to do some keyword research. I do want to note though that YOU NEED TO ACT. Read and learn as you go, hands on is the only real way to learn.
From some of the things I read that you said in this thread, you are probably lost in what I said above, so I will break things down in steps for you.
You need to find a Keyword. To find a good keyword 2 pieces of equipment you need are Google Keyword Tool (GKWT)
www.google.com/adwords (you will need to sign up for a free account). The tool is located under the Tools and Analysis tab, and then Keyword Tool. The second thing you need is Traffic Travis. Google it and you will find the download, a free account is also sufficient for what you need right now.
You need to come up with a keyword that is not something extremely popular, because it will be competitive, but that still comes up with around 1k searches.
GKWT is to check the local monthly searches. Basicly you go to that tool, MAKE SURE TO CLICK EXACT ON THE LEFT! BROAD IS CURRENTLY CLICKED WHEN YOU GO IN. Put keywords in that you think may be good, and then check them out with the tool. Once you find a keyword that is around 1k local monthlies, take it over to traffic travis and check the competition. There are plenty of tutorials that come with traffic travis but basicly you want to go to the SEO tab, then competition. You are looking for something that comes back as either relatively easy or easy. It should have no higher than 2 for average and median Page Rank. You want the page backlinks to also be as low as possible. If it said 0 under median that would be ideal.
Once you did all of that, you want to go to check to see if the Exact Match Domain(EMD) is available. I personally use internetbs.net for domains, its all preference though. You are probably wondering why it matters for the EMD. You can think of EMD as like a super power. If you have EMD your site will rank much easier for you, with less backlinks. BTW you only want a .com, .net, or .org. Any other extention is not considered EMD and will not have the same benefit.
If there is an EMD available for your keyword, but that sucker. If not start over at the beginning again, because an EMD will help you greatly when trying to rank, since you are new I HIGHLY recommend it.
At this point you must now go to your webhost, find out your DNS settings, put them in the registrar's website and you are good to go.
You then need to install wordpress onto your host for that site. Pick or load your theme, and get writing!
