Hi everyone

So, I have a bunch of really good long tail keywords of affiliate physical products that have decent exact searches per day and low competition. The problem is, I'm wondering how exactly I should monetize them.

I could either

1 - Make EZINE Articles and link directly to the affiliate product page in the author box (is this allowed :o )

2 - I could make several exact match html pages like www.mainsite.com/keywordhere.html and then backlink them

3 - I could buy exact match domains

I'm kind of worried about the Ezine thing because that may be a deterrant for the traffic in some cases and I might lose out. Number 3 I am unsure of because with all the recent talk about caffeine and exact match domains (especially since some of these are pretty long keywords) I might get sandboxed or not have much chance of getting up there

Thanks for any insight or tips

i'd personally go with #2. #3 is not as useful as it once was

Thank you. I was considering this, but still unsure because a lot of amazon products even the long tails have page rank on the page, so it may be difficult to get a quick number one spot.

Anyone else have any input?

I have to dissagree, having an exact keyword domain name is and always will be the best option. Search engines highlight keywords in domain names when a search is done so it has a better ranking boost.

I always look for exact domains first.

webpage seems a better option to me.... but then again it all depends on its SEO, how good you do it

I was thinking about this, but like I mentioned before I'm kind of concerned about how Google would rank my domains considering the length of the keywords.. I might try this first as an experiment with a few decent keywords to find out for sure.. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

If anyone else has had a domain like .com/.net/.org with a really long tail keyword please chime in :D

1. is not allowed you have to link to your own splash page.

Ahh I see. So I might as well rule Ezine out. Thanks

I am using all there option... My experience

You can use #1 option, get any domain and set 301 redirect to your affiliate... then put it in resource box... ezine tos allows it. I am personally using it. It will rank easily in comparison to other options but you will never have full control of visitor, you get only fraction of visitor on your site or link from ezine... My best article gets 25% ctr otherwise usual 5%-15%

#2 option is good but it will take more time then #3 option in ranking but it will have another advantage... You will make links for different web pages on your site with different anchor text so overall domain will gain more authority then individual domains. In long run it will be more profitable... Less chance of getting sandbox then #3 option

#3 will rank easily then #2 option but if you go fast it can even get sandbox easily in comparison to #2 option.
