I'm a developer who has been given the task of re-creating the affiliate program for our sites (general/adult/gay dvds/blurays/streams, skate/snow boards, sex toys, video encoding services, data backup/storage among others). We have an existing program which does well but is pretty limited and clearly showing its age.
I'm interested in input from those of you who make this industry profitable. I want to know the features that you want to see in an affiliate program so I can bake them in to ours. Can you give me some clues as to what I must have, what I should have and what I should avoid?
