Need help making my Facebook videos go viral!

I know this might be a bit of an abstract request, but hear me out I currently own a couple of FB pages with over 700k fans in total. I used to make a decent income from it but ever since the algorithm changes I've been struggling to make any money from them. However, just when I was about to give up, I had a video go viral and it made me over $14k in just 2 weeks. Obviously, I want to recreate that success but none of my other posts ever got that kind of reach and engagement. And I don't think it has much to do with the quality of the post itself.

So my question is if there is any system for making a video go viral? Or is it really just a matter of luck and timing?

Yeah you're probably right. Sometimes it feels like a lottery lol. But there must be some methods that could improve the odds a bit. For example, I read about this artist who spends months making a single art project. The guy is completely dependent on social media and he couldn't leave things to chance. So what he did is make a mailing list of around 1000 friends and family and asked them all to share and comment on his post within 24 hours after it went live. That seemed to work for him and there must be other methods. I was thinking of paid shares for example. It is expensive but could be worth it if it can generate some viral posts. You guys tried that?
