Yup, remove the link mate, for your own good. That being said, what is your site about exactly, like are you selling something or simply blogging? You think you could go into affiliate marketing?
You can make it popular later, first get the basic monetization/demographic strategy down and from there you'll find the avenues to promote it through the right channels

Keep adding useful content and don't give up even you don't receive many visitor. New site take month to start making money, sometime 6 month later you start earning money..

That being said, make sure you have a traffic source.
The age-old marketing philosophy that "If you write good content, then you'll get traffic" is complete garbage. You need to advertise or do SEO, or you're not getting anywhere soon.

I wasn't able to find a viable solution to make instant money, without putting some work and a little money into it. What I did is set-up a couple of blogs (8 to be more precise) with quality content and I'm making money form adsense and various affiliate programs. I invested little money when I started but many hours of work.
