Need help , low traffic, low cash -.-

Hello BlackHatWorld forum members,

i have a big problem. My friend and i have started our own Blog for about 4 months. We use a freehoster and we use wordpress.
We would like to earn some money, so we started by making money durin CPV ads.

The main problem is that we have only earned about $14 in this 4 months, we have a really low traffic (only 20-30 visitors a day).
We do everything, we advertise our page via Facebook, Twitter and a another friend of mine who as a youtube channel with 400 subs advertse for our page.
We use seo plugins, our blog is in a good niche, and we both post 2-3 articles a day!

But what are we doing wrong? Why we have such a low traffic and why we dont earn a nice amount of $$$ ??

Are you building backlinks? that's pretty much the big piece that seems to be missing from your scheme, and one that you can't bypass.

Backlinks..... well i must agree i dont have much backlinks, i have posted only in some other blogs a link to my blog as a comment.
But are there any other tips thaht you could give me?

Run a proper SEO/ link building campaign for almost 3-4 months build some ethical links and get some good ranking on google.
