Need Help in Writing a tool like KONBOOT

Hi guys.

# QUERY 1:

I want to write a program like KONBOOT with little advancement from my mind.
I have good knowledge of C and Assembly. I also worked with boot sectors and boot logic.
However, I can't understand how to start the coding of a tool like KONBOOT.
Any kind of help is appreciated.

# QUERY 2:

I created bootable USB by dumping the boot sector in it. But I've no IDEA that how simply copying a file will make it bootable.

Since its my first post here, so I'm sorry if I posted it in wrong section.

Thanks for your reply.
However, as I said earlier I'm already aware with the concept of writing bootable files and disks which you shared in the first link.
We have to create boot sectors first and then need to copy the boot image files in order to make a USB bootable.
But with KONBOOT we simply need to copy few files only and the USB becomes bootable itself.
I'm just curious about its coding.
How simply placing a file in USB can make it bootable.??
