hi guys

i have a site targetted to MOMs - and i would like them to sign up for free tips i will send them.

i know i can get a wordpress plug-in for the email capture box

BUT MY QUESTIONS ARE:

• what do you guys use to keep the email addresses/data? so you can email them later?
• what do you tool/service do you use to send the emails from?

I would like to learn more about this process? and your suggestions.

Answer to both of your question is autoresponder.

They provide you with the optin form, so you just need to copy/paste the code on your site.
They take care of double-opt ins and unsubscribe process.
They take care of sending your emails either when you want, or automatically (for example: every other day from signup)

To a look into aweber (probably the most famous and widely used) or getresponse or mailchimp.

These are obvioulsy paid services, but really cheap for what you get and what you can make out of it.

Mail chimp are Ok to start with if you're just building a list. But you need to be careful, e.g. if you're planning to mail with links to affiliate offers, and get a lot of complaints they'll close your account.

yeah i see a lot of posts about not using MailChimp for Affiliate stuff.. So im going with Aweber.

Aweber seems to be best for that - from the reearch i did. Also its what all the big guys use. I am just starting out - but i would rather not have to change later if I DO GET BIG!

Hi, i use aweber and till now i had no problem with them, but if you want something cheaper i think imnicamail dot com has good reviews too.
