    Hey guys,

    what would be the best practice to send people to my money site and once they have seen it, it will show another page or just come up as empty

    I would imagine something like

    clickid=1234567890

    save in DB

    if clickid exists visit=0 - money site
    if clickid visit=1 - redirect

    But what about if the user makes up a random 10 digit number? Then it will all be useless..

    Try cookies (can easily be tempered by user) or IP (can be changed by user) based frequency cap.

    Some cloakers have this feature.

    Yeah, this aint gonna work, as Im afraid of the lander to be reported for trademark issues, then I would like to make sure that if someone sends the link to wherever the third party is, the link wont load...

    one way might be

    if no clickid - block visit
    clickid is only active for 10 seconds

    but the problem is still that the clickid should have a key to verify - so that a random clickid would not work...

    Im wondering that if I could block the traffic, if its not referring from a certain domain.

    tracking link leaves a referrer right??

    my system atm
    -> SAFE PAGE
    TS -> Cloaker
    ->VOLUUM -> Money Page

    If voluum leaves a referrer, then I could maybe do something like this

    Check clickID - if visit=0 then show, if visit=1 then cancel
    if referrer - match voluum then show site, if not then GTFO

    is this possible?

    I suppose you meant "Traffic Source > Safe Page" in the above example.

    Your tracking link would likely carry through the referrer in the redirect. This would either be the traffic source or safe page, depending on how your cloaker performs the redirect.

    I believe this achieves what you want:
    PHP:
    $safe_urls = array(

    "safe1.com",

    "safe2.com/article.html",
    );

    $cloak 1;

    if (!empty(
    $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'])) {
       foreach(
    $safe_urls as $safe_url){
         if(
    strpos($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'],$safe_url)!== false){

    $cloak 0;
           break;
         }
       }
    }
    First, it will test whether the visitor has a referrer. If they don't, they will get cloaked.

    If they do have a referrer, it will compare it against the URLs you specify in $safe_urls. You can enter just the safe domains, or the full URLs (including the referring page). Either way, it will work if the visitor's referrer contains the string. In the above, I am testing if the visitor is coming from "safe1.com" or "safe2.com/article.html".

    $cloak will be set to 1 if the visitor should be cloaked, and 0 if they shouldn't. You can then test for this and output a page accordingly.

    Let me know if you want it tweaked further. :)

    There are cloakers with exact same function.

    It's called URL parameter filter.

    Look into this.

    Hmm, i did a test run by placing the code above html (im assuming it should be the very first line), but it doesnt cloak if I type in my url (i modified safe pages) and here is the code I used

    <?php
    $safe_urls = array(
    "facebook.com",
    "otherdomain.com",
    );

    $cloak = 1;

    if (!empty($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'])) {
    foreach($safe_urls as $safe_url){
    if(strpos($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'],$safe_url)!== false){
    $cloak = 0;
    break;
    }
    }
    }
    ?>

    Just to clarify - my traffic flow is

    Traffic source -> Cloaker then either remain on safe page or go to money page
    I would want to hide the money page, so if money page gets a direct visit - not show anything, if comes from safe referring url, then show lander

    Hey, I tried this and it seams to be working, only problem is that if visit opens in a new window I get killed, although it works

    Paid someone to code that, as im not all there with code.
    Code:
    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} ^(?!.*(facebook|tracking)).*$ [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://google.com

    Unfortunately, lots of some traffic from fb will always have blank referrer.

    So this method will also waste some legit traffic.

    You should invest in some proper cloaker which is backed by data and solid algorithms to identify the reviewers instead of reinventing the wheel.
