Hey everyone,
I'm Charles – a complete newbie in the media buying game, especially in red/gray niches like gambling and investment. I joined this forum to learn from those with real experience in the field. Super excited to connect and grow with you all!
Right now, I’m running into quite a few challenges as I try to test and scale:
- I’m still confused about how to choose the right offer for each traffic source. People say “a good offer is 50% of the success,” but I’m not sure how to evaluate or select properly.
- My ad accounts keep getting banned easily when I test campaigns, especially on Facebook and TikTok. I’m not sure if it’s the creatives, the domain, or something in the setup that’s triggering it.

Try scaling super slowly with any new account. Always err on the side of caution -- these sites are so strict nowadays

Increase budgets slowly (10–20% every 24–48 hours) if the campaign is stable
Duplicate a good campaign with a low budget
Create a new campaign when you want to test new audiences or creative
Avoid sudden increases or multiple edits at once → prone to review
Regarding ad accounts, you should use a verified business ad account for more credibility and use a stable, genuine payment method.

Welcome Charles! Picking the right offer takes testing. Try to get offers with good EPC and proven angles. As for bans, it’s usually a mix of creatives, domains, and account setup. Start super clean, warm up accounts, and use cloakers if needed. You'll figure it out step by step.

Yeah, definitely not the most beginner friendly niches. Learning curve is steep on red/gray but you could wise up to it fast if you put the time to test and adapt.
Usually a solid offer can make or break everything so ideally you want to do something about your landing page so it doesn't look like a scam or get flagged like one, pre-landers for platforms or fast loading pages for mobile also supports traffic. Then there's consideration for your tools and setup to safeguard against detection/fingerprinting, avoid launching cold, and paying particular interest in domains.
Hard to get into the swing of things, but when you do it tends to become a lot more manageable (not easy, but yeah). Stick around, test smart, and hopefully you’ll find what works you.

Thanks a ton for all the advice, really appreciate everyone taking the time to drop knowledge here!

I’m definitely seeing that red/gray niches aren’t beginner-friendly so i’m trying to move slow, test smart, and soak up as much info as possible before scaling

Still a long way to go but I feel more confident knowing where to start. Will keep testing and hopefully contribute something useful back soon. Thanks again everyone!

Welcome, Charles! Choosing offers that fit your traffic source audience is key, start with proven ones in your niche and test small. For ad bans, rotate creatives often, use fresh domains, and consider warm-up campaigns to build trust before scaling. Keep learning and experimenting!

You’re overthinking the offer.
It matters, yes ,but what kills you right now is probably the setup.
If your accounts are burning fast, it's usually weak warm-up, reused domains, or creatives that look too aggressive out the gate.
Facebook and TikTok are brutal with anything that smells off.
Start smaller.
Slow warm-up.
Rotate everything: accounts, domains, even copy angles.
And don’t scale until you're 100% sure your setup is clean and stable.

Welcome bro! Matching offer with traffic source is half the battle. I’ve had solid offers tank just because I used the wrong ad type or GEO. Trial and error is the only way early on

Hey Charles, welcome to the chaos:
Picking the right offer
  • Match traffic to vertical: TikTok/Facebook loves eye-catching, emotional angles (e.g. “quick wins” for gambling), while native/ad networks respond better to proof-driven investment pitches.
  • Spy & test: Grab top-performers from spy tools (BigSpy, AdPlexity) for your niche–traffic combo, then swap in your own hooks and creatives.
  • Micro-split: Launch 3–5 offers at tiny budgets ($5–$10/day each) and kill off losers after 100–200 clicks. That “50% success” really comes from rapid culling and doubling down on the winners.
