Need Help Getting Started with Ethical Hacking

Hey everyone! I'm really interested in getting into ethical hacking. I've been reading books and doing research on my own but I'm still finding it confusing and hard to piece everything together. Does anyone have recommendations for beginner-friendly YouTube channels or online courses that cover the basics of ethical hacking? Any guidance would be appreciated!

If you want to learn ethical hacking, there are tons of free resources from top organizations in this space like Cisco, Fortinet, Google, etc.

He is not on the wrong forum. There are plenty of people with expertise and interest in similar areas here. We are literally in a programming category of this forum..

With that said. I'd recommend just checking out YouTube for one, as there are tons of creators that do this exact thing for a living. I've found some fun with Hack the box previously though it has been a little while now. One thing I would suggest is that you should get your hands dirty asap. Of course in safe, ethical environments, and learning from other sources is great, but the best are really those who learn a little bit of theory and then go test it out. You have even more of a ever patient teacher with AI now.

You might need to take a look at the ISC2 CC certification if you want a good foundation into the world of ethical hacking

also please whatever knowledge you learn from hacking, do not use it unethically hence the world 'ethical'
meaning do not willy nilly target websites you find on the internet or accounts, domains, servers, webapps etc etc.

try joining the tryhackme discord server you'll learn a lot there!, also hackthebox, people are much kinder there tbh
