Need help getting new members and traffic.

Hi, so recently i just created a new forum on making money on the internet, i've tried advertising them on forums with the same niche, but apparently that does not bring much traffic or new members to my site. So how can i get new members or even more traffic to my new forum?





p.s. if this is in the wron section, pls move it for me:).
 
Advertise on BHW
First hire some one to kick start some unique thread in forum .
Then run some type of contest on forum
Like if anybody do 1000 posts he will win a iPod blah blah

And then see results after a week or two :D
 
No offense, but if you make a forum on how to make money, and you don't even know how to get members to your forum, it's going to be a long ride.

Agreed!

First of all, learn, read other forums, gain knowledge. Be on a level to pass on that knowledge. And then start a forum.

BTW, there's no dearth of make money forums on the internet!

Well, i guess opening a forum is part of getting a new experience for myself, knowing how a forum works and its features from the inside could one day be a useful knowledge, however, since its the first time i am starting a forum, so i don't really know how to drive new members to the site..

I'll let you in on a little secret. You don't open a forum to gain a following, you open it to monetize (and increase) a current following.
