need help getting my shopify dropshipping business started

i want to start making money by dropshipping products using shopify but i dont know what products to sell and how to advertise

Check others journey's. Get some social media accounts, find some top rated products on Aliexpress/ other dropshippers and you are good to go.
Ideally you want to find a good nieche that sells well.

I want to to the same thing but I'm still researching products/social media/shopify or wordpress/ hosting , etc.

In terms of selecting products to sell you can go to various websites like AliExpress, DHGate, GearBest, etc. and search for the best-selling products and start that way. The key here is to avoid selecting products in saturated niches where you will have a lot of competition.
