Need Help Getting Indexed, Anyone?

Hey guys

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
I recently got a free hosting account on freehostia and got a sub-domain on there. I have the XML site map plug-in but when I tried to get indexed on google it doesn't work. When I checked the XML plug in it says there was a problem notifying google. Does anyone know why this is doing this? Also can sub domains get indexed on google?

Did you read all the install directions properly? Also you could always try uninstalling and reinstalling again in case there was a glitch...subdomains can get indexed just not as easily as regular domains sometimes...

Let me go down to the basic question, eh when did you launch this site of yours and what other ways did you do to get indexed?
