Need Help From The Most Brilliant Minds In IM

ok so heres the opportunity...3 million cablevision customers in NYC are no longer able to receive fox programming...channel 5 and channel 9...in case u dont know...nyc has a very ethnic (read heavy african american and spanish) population and channel 5 and channel 9 are the so called "black" stations...my query is: what can i do to capitalize on this...im thinking about setting up a site and feeding a signal from another cable provider for each channel but i dont know how to get a feed to stream or whatever...i have a few dollars to invest in this and im not sure how long it will last but fox wants 170 million from cable vision and they are basically telling fox to eat a dick so i dont think they will pay anytime soon...but fox has the baseball and football games as well as shows like tyler perry's meet the browns and a bunch of other ethnic shows so people will definitely want this...i can set up a site off shore or whatever and pirate away (im watching that movie pirate radio and it got me thinking)...but still dont know how or where to get/stream the feed...im open to all suggestions so suggest away gents...thanx in advance.

Or you can do the Satelite on TV and do a video cast of it..

lol...whats the deal X?...yeah we aint chop it up in a minute...how would i do a video cast of whats on my tv screen? (crazy asking that and i got tons of a/v and studio equipment in the crib)...i can make my desktop show on my tv but not the other way around...im tryna google for a solution but im coming up blank...guess im not asking the right questions

Promote the hell out of the Satelite-On-PC shit...lol

Or you can get the software yourself and set up a stream of that. Hell you can do that and stream the live games and whatever.

haha you beat me to the punch, to make it a bit more authentic get some old programming from fox and whatever channel your promoting and iframe it playing in the index add a link randomizer so each time the video is new (different) and seems fresh. Than a content lock comes up asking users for either the satellite tv subscript. or email submit for access.

To target these guys I'd recommend local PPC by region, but I'm sure there's other ways to reach them on and offline.

I have a feeling F0X is about to make some extra advertising revenue on their site.

Instant stream of my old laptop with the new webcam attached to it facing a 15" tv in the attic..

No but seriously I wouldnt try to mess with fox directly because knowing their history they will just try to sue the shit out of you until you quit or apologize. Why not push directTv ? Tell them they get 3 month free (or whatever their special is), free setup and a low starting trial! They pay i believe $60 per lead and i am sure people will be converting like crazy if you give them a highlighted list of all channels that they will get

most people that get direct tv in the city hate it cuz the buildings and weather **** with the reception alot...i really dont wanna push any affiliate programs/offers...i wanna create some type of unique solution and push it offline thus generating the lion share of the money b4 someone else style jacks me or fox gets hip and tries to shut me down....hmm...i will keep the wheels spinning nonetheless.

I think you can connect your cable tv to your pc and stream using ustream.

There was a thread about promoting UFC fights in this way, or betting affiliate I dont really remember, the risk is that probabily ustream will shut you off, but is a cheap solution, otherwise you will need your site and some setting like ustream.
