Need help for buying a 500$ new laptop

Acer Aspire E5 - 573G - 59C3

I have a acer aspire nitro black laptop
but this is a acer e5 with dedicated 940m graphics for 530 bucks at Walmart. Def worth checking out

2nd with MacBook :)
If not, I will stick what you have in mind now. The Dell is always a decent one.

8gb ram is nice for the price if i was u i would not complain only way to get better is with 2nd hand or b/c marks and thats tricky

I use an Acer Aspire E 15 - Got it on sale at TigerDirect near my house when they were closing down.

The video card isn't that powerful, and it could use a bit more ram.. but the processor was a steal for the price (I paid ~$480 after taxes and stuff).

It came with an Intel Core i5-5200U, and although they're up to i7 and i9's and stuff - the i5 is more than capable of handling whatever process I need handled.

You could always just click here, too.

Make sure it has an SSD or consider buying one separately.

The specs OP posted are solid for $500, but I agree with Aty - buy a SSD to come along this laptop.
It will really pay off.

Go to a gaming forum, you'll get much more help there.

What I did was built a CUSTOM Laptop. There are plenty of services out there that will assemble it for you. My laptop was $1,700 I believe, no brand. However, branded , same specs, would probably cost arund $2,500-$3,000 (pulling these #s from my head).

Not sure about having a budget of $500 for building a custom laptop, but do some research and who knows, maybe works out better.

Go with Asus ROG GL551JW-DS71 15.6-Inch FHD Screen. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 2G GDDR5 Discrete Graphics.

1 TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive. 16 GB DDR3 RAM.

3x USB 3.0, 1x HDMI, 1x MiniDisplay port. SDXC Card Reader. 720P HD Webcam.
