Quite literally you need to port scan a ton of AU IP-ranges before you'll find any unlisted AU proxy. No wonder you found nothing ... As always, I was up to for a little challenge.

When you have a special proxy needs, this is exactly where port scanning for proxies is coming from. If I need AU or whatever proxy, I'll find it.

i get about 30 from Australia but to few to warrent the
time it takes

It's pretty hard to find proxies in Australia. I'm a proxy provider and I have nothing down hear and the reason is pretty simple - the cost of hosting and bandwidth is crippling. For a 2Mb unlimited Tier 1 Internet service, you're looking at $800 or more per month, and the server hosting will be another $200 or so at best. At these costs I'd have to be selling the proxies at $20/month each to make money.

On top of this, we have some of the toughest online/Internet laws around, and I don't really want to get a please explain from the Fed. police about what my users have been doing.

Bottom line is that there are no private proxy providers in Australia, and that is not likely to change any time soon.

yup agreed - i can get about 30 public http proxies but they die so
fast - ide never bother

seems odd though doesnt it a country like australia has no
private proxies

very odd indeed...................and damn frustrating too if you are actually in Australia and need them often

When have you needed Australian proxies? I just use my Optus 3G modem, or do everything from work - since the company I work for is very big, it's not unusual that lots of accounts etc. get created from our Proxy IP address.

what about vpn or vps next best thing right

I used to resell VPNs from obscure countries and I had a nice provider of aus VPN accounts (5gb bandwidth and a dedi ip for $14.99) I resold them for $30, but the company that I bought them off got fined and closed for not keeping adequate logs and letting people do things such as scam eBay, they got fined AUD$214,000 lol. Too strict here in aus.

Australia eh the land of lots of beer but no proxies hehhe

if you live in a populated area then get the 1 watt wireless USB alfa card and borrow wireless signal from your neighbor
