Hey guy,

I’m stuck with a frustrating situation on my new Facebook ad account
All my recent campaigns have terrible performance – CPM looks fine, but I’m getting almost no clicks or conversions, so CTR is super low

I already made a post about this before, and I also asked a few friends in the field
Both told me the same thing: “It’s normal, your new ad account just needs time to learn the right audience”

But here’s the thing: It’s been 3 weeks now, and I’ve already spent around $420 in 19 days.
That feels like a lot just to be “teaching” the account
I’ve tried different setups, targeting methods, and campaign structures, but nothing seems to stop the ads from just burning money

=> My questions:

-Is 3 weeks really a normal “learning phase” for a new ad account?

-Or does this sound like something’s wrong with my account setup?

-Is there any proven way to shorten the learning phase or force FB to target actual buyers faster?

Three weeks feels too long for just learning usually by that spend you should see some signals, so I’d look harder at the creatives and offer

After learning from my customer experience and some of my personal experience hands - on using Meta Ads, this is what I have learned. Hope this helps :)

First & Second Question:
With the new update from Meta Ads, learning phase doesn't require you to have 3 weeks of your campaign running on your ad account. To exit the learning phase, you will need to have 50 results in order to exit the learning phase. During this time, it is not advisable to consistently edit your campaign.

One of the strategies that really helps with exiting the learning phase ASAP, is using the "Advantage+ Feature" on your ad account. After 50 results, be it maximizing number of link clicks, conversions and etc, as long as you hit 50 results, your campaign exits the learning phase.

Third Question:

In many niches, only well-established or long-standing ad accounts, such as polished ad accounts with a consistent spending history and a clean record, tend to maintain stable CPCs. If you don’t have the luxury of waiting for a new ad account to exit the learning phase, many businesses and larger brands rely on ad accounts they don’t personally own, adding partners to run ads compliantly, whether in black, gray, or white hat verticals.

It's possible that your daily budget is too low, preventing Facebook from allocating it to potential customers, or the reason could be that your ad content isn't engaging enough for your target audience, leading to wasted advertising spend and no results
 
In my experience, new accounts often lack a fixed learning curve. If ads aren't getting clicks, Facebook doesn't have a strong signal to optimize. Before blaming the account, I would focus on experimenting with more engaging elements, perspectives, and formats, and that's often what improves performance.
