Need help: ERR_BLOCKED_BY_XSS_AUDITOR

Anyone know how to fix this issue?


Im trying to edit the header function in WordPress and when i hit the update file button i get this:

This page isn’t working
Chrome detected unusual code on this page and blocked it to protect your personal information (for example, passwords, phone numbers, and credit cards).

• Try visiting the site's homepage.

ERR_BLOCKED_BY_XSS_AUDITOR

Try it from firefox ? I got this error once but i think it was with plugin, cant remember. But refreshing the window again and again worked for me.

Same thing on all browsers, it used to only happen on chrome but apparently other browsers have added that securtiy too.

Ive managed to stop it happening but now i have another problem, when i update the header file i get a 404. Doesn't happen when i edit anything else only when i update the header file. Struggling to find a fix grrrrr.

Have you tried a different theme temporarily just to narrow down the cause?

And try disabling all plugins?
