Need help claming Facebook account url

I'm trying to set my Facebook page URL to one that I freed from an old personal account, but it says that the URL name is already taken when it doesn't even exist. I tried contacting Facebook to reclaim it, but that did no good.

Is there any way that I can reclaim it? or anyone that knows how to?

it takes a while for fb to get rid of old unused names, then again I don't know if they ever do, so you might have to just make a new one

I've read that they have reinstated user's in the past.
Do you know how long I would have to wait before they get rid of old usernames?
I've been waiting since August to see if it would clear up and still no luck.

i lost a profile 3 years ago, and the url isn't released, so i wouldn't hold ur breath
