Need help about choosing the keyword properly

Hi;

I am writing an article, and I'm still confused about optimizing it for the keyword that I'm targeting.

The first keyword search volume for the keyword is around 100,000
Keyword difficulty is 35/100.

the second is basically the first keyword without 'how to', the search volume for it around 14000
keyword difficulty is 29/10.

what should I do: should I mix the two, optimize for the easy one or what.

It's very simple - use both at the same time. If both keywords are "how to write articles fast" and "write articles fast", then the title of your article and optimization focus should be "how to write articles fast". This way you're killing two birds with a stone.

Choose the one with higher search volume. It gives better results.
