Ok. So I've just done a google dance for a very competitive keyword. I'm at #5 for that keyword after google dancing for about 2 weeks. Before that I wasn't even ranked. I did a 20,000 Xrumer blast and 20,000 Scrapebox blast directly to my site two weeks ago.
Then I discovered something called SEO. Noob mistake...I didn't realize you can blast other sites and get something called link juice.
I've been making link pyramids and did xrumer and SB blasts to my web 2.0 properties. My site was 1 year old so I guess that's a reason I wasn't sandboxed.
Anyhoo...I have google analytics still installed even though I've read multiple threads warning not to use analytics. I was just too lazy to remove. But since I'm #5 when I wasn't ranked two weeks ago... Could not using analytics be a myth?
I understand not using analytics if I'm running an auto blog or multiple auto blogs. But my site is 100% content and has quality to it. I have about 20 quality websites with no autoblogs linked to my analytics account. Should I still abandon analytics?
My theory is I'm not doing anything illegal so I have nothing to hide. I'm getting bonus link juice from other sites via xrumer, SB, AMR and SEnukeX. Link juice isn't really something analytics can penalize on. Otherwise you can lower your competitors rankings. Also isn't the whole point of link juice to get google's attention. If analytics helps google find the link juice faster isn't that a good thing?
Do you think it matters? I think I can jump to #1 even with analytics but I would like some expert BHW opinions on this matter.
