Hello guys. Yes, I have an MP3 blog and I would like to implement a protection script for my hotfile links. This is to avoid my files being reported and deleted. Right now I'm using lix.in but is not enought.. I need something more.

Can you do it? PM me with any suggestions or offers. Thanks!;)

So you want to cloak your links so that.... other sites can't steal them, which means less people will report?

People are always going to be able to copy your links, but if they share them around, you get more downloads and therefore make more money, what's the problem?

Does Hotfile have a 'downloads commission' feature?

Yes. I want to make the original URL completely hidden. In order to report a copyright file to hotfile you need the full URL of the file.

The problem is if people share my links with the full URL I also have more chance of my files being reported and deleted.

    Yes, they do.:)

what you ask is near to impossible. you think that they will not follow whatever cloaked link you present them to report the link? you may avoid fake reports from other uploaders but the real reports, from copyright holders will go trough with no problem. and i also use Hotfile and they are not like RS that delete files after any report even if the person have no right to make those reports.

even so, good luck about finding that link protector

So you're telling me this can't be done? I thought in order to report the links to hotfile you need the actual real URL not a cloaked one...

    Any suggestions? Thanks!

I'm telling you that after clicking your link protector they will have access to the real link and report it anyway. how can you make invisible a link that must take the user to the download page? unless you offer direct downloads from a server i don't think you will succeed on hiding the source of the files. you may be able to avoid link finder bots but not human verification.

I understand. But with a file protector you won't see the full URL.. I want a service like this...

    Code:
    http://www.link-protector.com/
    or..

    Code:
    http://lix.in/
That's what I want..but within my page and of course no ads!:) also even with lix in you can view the original URL by doing " view source" so I want more protection..

    I will. Cheers!:D

I just want to be able to " hide" my links URL so people can't report my links to the file hoster. Check my last post.:)
